Oddly enough, as stacked as women are in Dragon Age, in Mass Effect they dont seem to have that much aside from Miranda and a few others. Sometimes creative reskins, but still reskins. Most armors in the same weight category look the same and are just reskins. Even Oblivion might have more and that is saying something.

The thing that bothered me most in Dragon Age was the pathedic amount of variety regarding armor and clothes. On a screenshot for The Old Republic it could be seen that there are four body types available in creation, and multible shapes have been seen in screenshots and ingame footage to confirm it, so its likely that this might find its way into other future Bioware games. I want to make my player character a fat slob who runs around in shiny armor and tries to hook up with Leliana - only to be rejected b/c well.you're a fat slob, though she'll just say something like "well.I value our friendship" or "I kinda don't want to get involved with someone right now." Just like real life, haha.īut seriously, is it such a major task to throw some variety in there? I've also noticed that almost everyone is the same height.except Dwarves and Elves (they're shorter than humans which is sort of weird when you consider that in the usual fantasy lore elves are taller and slimmer than humans) in DA and some aliens in ME. The women in the game, no matter their age or race, all happen to be pretty stacked, and EVERYONE has horribly brown teeth.Ĭome on BioWare.you're telling me you can't take the time to at least maybe make 7 or 8 different body types for random NPCs and characters? Yet you can spend countless hours devising dialogue options that equate to "Hey, you suck!" and "I want to be inside you" In Dragon Age it's the same thing: most people are trim/muscular except maybe 4 fat people who all happen to usually be tavern keepers.

Maybe you can concoct the theory that in the future some alien race devised a way for people to lose weight via a special pill but come on.that's just lazy. In Mass Effect everyone is pretty trim and in great shape. After playing through Mass Effect 2 and now, currently, Dragon Age Origins twice I've come to notice some things.mainly that BioWare doesn't seem to put too much thought into the physical diversity of their companion characters and NPCs.
